How much does flight training Cost?

It is no mystery that flight training is a serious investment, both in time and money. While both are often limited, having the funds for flight training takes a bit more effort than just clearing off a few meeting from the schedule or waking up early. Because of that, the barrier to entry can be difficult to hurdle. Many programs offer scholarships for flight training. Check out some of the more well known opportunities below! Don’t forget to search for your own, you never know what is out there on the web, you community, and local flying organizations.

Proficiency Training

Offering both required training for lapsed privileges or for pilots who feel a bit rusty of their skills

  • Maintain your Pilot and Command Privileges with you FAA mandated flight review. Well cover at least 1 hour on the ground and at least 1 hour in the plane. This satisfies most, however flight review is only complete once the instructor is satisfied with the pilots performance and confident in the abilities to act as PIC.

  • Regain your instrument privileges with this extensive deep dive into instrument flying. You’ll cover required areas in addition to special emphasis areas as seen fit by your instructor. Ask your instructor about any areas you’d like help with as well. Please let us know what instrumentation you normally fly with!

  • This service is for pilots getting back into flying whether you haven’t been in a cockpit for years or you are an airline pilot getting back in to general aviation. You’ll work together with your instructor to create a tailor made experience for your needs. We make sure your ready to fly before you ever pick up the checklist.

Endorsements

  • Learn how to operate an aircraft that has a variable pitch propellor, cowling flaps, retractable landing gear, and/or Flaps. Get endorsed when your proficient. 1 hour ground and between 2-4 hours of flight instruction on average.

  • Unlock new felt power by learning to fly an aircraft of mor than 200 hp. Things can get a little squirrely with higher horsepower, so we will get you proficient in taming those wild mustangs. Expect about 2-3 hours of flight training. One of the less mentally demanding endorsements.

  • Become a “real” pilot! Tailwheels hold a nostalgic place in aviation’s big beating heart. Weather you want to fly warbirds, Cubs, or just get into back country flying, obtaining your tailwheel is the first step! Get trained in 4-9 hours. Get your tap dancing shoes ready because flying tailwheels will have to boogying in your seat.
